Based in Decatur, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, Traktion was founded in 2017 by industry veterans Ryan Woolley and Jon Eggleton. The two saw an opportunity to deliver digital agency and consulting services without the high overhead and layered account teams prevalent in more traditional firms. They continue to lead each and every client engagement, and manage a flexible team of senior-level marketers and creative personnel customized to meet individual client needs.
RYAN IS A RESULTS-ORIENTED LEADER with two-plus decades of experience crafting and executing digital marketing strategies. His focus has been on helping organizations scale their marketing efforts to profitably acquire new customers, first within retail and consumer verticals, later moving into healthcare and patient acquisition.
Ryan brings deep experience in paid digital media to Traktion, and leads the firm’s B2C media strategy and optimization practice. Prior to co-founding Traktion, Ryan held various leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Response Mine Interactive, a digital marketing agency based in Atlanta, culminating in his last role as SVP of Digital Marketing.
Over a nine-year RMI career, Ryan had the opportunity to work with leading mid-sized healthcare brands on developing marketing strategies that positively transformed their bottom line, including Liberty Medical, Laser Spine Institute, and Miracle Ear, along with world class consumer brands such as Staples, Carter's/Oshkosh B'gosh, Rooms To Go, Terminix, and TruGreen.
Ryan is a proud graduate of Kent State University, and enjoys staying active outdoors, coaching youth sports, and drinking craft beers. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Ryan is also a die-hard fan of the city and its sports teams. He lives in Decatur with his wife, Jennie, and their two young boys. He also serves as a Board Member on Citizen Advocacy of Atlanta and DeKalb.
JON HAS SPENT NEARLY ALL OF HIS CAREER IN DIGITAL, beginning in 1998 when he was hired to launch a new affiliate program for OfficeMax.com, later holding leadership roles within the e-commerce divisions of Home Shopping Network (HSN), American Greetings, and Progressive Lighting. Immediately prior to co-founding Traktion, Jon was the brand CMO for Turnstone, a Steelcase (NYSE: SCS) division focused on emerging businesses.
Jon brings extensive client-side experience in building brands using digital channels to Traktion, and leads the firm’s brand development, healthcare recruitment, and B2B marketing efforts.
Jon’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications from Ohio University, with an MBA in Marketing from Cleveland State University. He has been a guest contributor for Entrepreneur.com, Business2Community, and Healthcare Business Today, and been quoted extensively in myriad business publications. Jon is an avid runner who also enjoys local food, and attending Atlanta United (soccer) games.
A native of Cleveland, he lives in Decatur, Georgia with his wife, Meagan, and their three young sons. He has also been an active community leader, serving four years as a School Leadership Team member for the City Schools of Decatur.
